This is the Akimbo

@FreeFallin make a video of retracing your steps and we will all keep our eyes out for it. Another set of eyes...or a few hundred wouldn't hurt... I'm sure there are enough of us, starved for the Akimbo, willing to look for it. I really am sorry, that's so very depressing.

Beleive me I retraced several times, a video might not be a bad idea, more eyes...

I realize there are much bigger problems in the world, maybe this is just a safer one for me to be preoccupied with.

Man, I pulled the freezer out from the wall and combed through all the storage boxes in the garage in case it fell in one.

I called everyplace I visited that week and had them check their lost and found -

"Hi Applebees? I'm looking for a piece from an alien space craft that I might have dropped in a booth there..."
This reminds me, Richard @yoyoman lost his CBDB right after getting his first. (Correct, me if I'm forgetting) He took it to the hardware store and left it behind or something and when he went back it was gone. What the person that picked it up thought he was getting is unknown, but there you have it...these devices do look intriguing!

I have to disagree. I think nothing in the world is more important than a lost Akimbo. Although it might be possible that my view of the world is just a little bit skewed.

Tim

Thank you Tim, at least if I am a self centered, petty, low brow, obsessed with my own first world problems, I know I'm not alone. And that means a lot to me. :)

A commenter on YouTube has suggested that I may have gone back into the attic and it slipped into the insulation.

I am only 90% sure I didn't go back up, so I am tomorrow, along with a metal detector to scan the ceiling, set to exclude nails and screws and focus on the density of aluminum. Science!

...it did not work well in the Rope Wrench...

Yeah, it worked with both the Akimbo and RW but not very well. It's a very nice rope, just a tad fat. Works great with the speedline setup, though! Works good with a couple of DdRT setups (ZZ and Hitchclimber) but I already have a lot of ropes for that. Can't say anything bad about it... I knew it would probably be too big for the SRT devices when I bought it... just wanted to try it out. I'd really like to see more ropes right around that 11.8mm to 12mm range. Love a fat rope, but I love easy tending even more.

I'd like to thank you in advance for any more questions you may choose to ask in regards to any answers I may have made. ;)

Latest word I got back from Nate at RE:
"It's still in the cooker and we still don't have a solid date for releasing it yet" "I'm really hoping to have it ready to show off at this years TCIA Expo - but many factors could decidedly delay launching it then." "We aren't doing any pre-orders and haven't even established a pre-buy program with dealers yet because we just aren't at that phase yet."

So, don't hold your breath. But at least it's "in the cooker", I always love a good crock pot dinner - the extra time really blends the flavors.
