zigzag zag slipping

I have had my zig zag for a couple months I'm using with poison ivy rope tends to slip sometimes slowly anybody having the same problem? Anyone have a solution ? Otherwise I love the product

No but I only run Vortex. If you haven't tried it maybe a good cleaning will help. Possibly the zigs are packed with dirt and can't bite the rope.

Poison Ivy and Velocity are a real challenge for mechanicals. Can you add friction at the TIP?

I have been running Velocity since the thing first came out in every day use and it is great. I don't see how you guys run the the bigger ropes like the 1/2 inch or 12.7 mm Vortex thru the unit?? Luke sent me some Vortex by mistake and that and Safety Blue braid half inch...I can't get it to thread thru.

I have had jerky response in pine from the sap so last time I will use it in one.

Maybe your anchor is nudging the trigger? I tie a bowline which gets the knot away from the trigger.

I worked with some guys not too long ago using a Zig Zag on Cougar Blue. They only do crane removals, lots of burning down their rope to sudden jerks and abrupt stops. The Cougar Blue started to get some sort of build up on it more than likely from the clevis that they tie into on the crane. When the Zig Zag would come in contact with that portion of the rope it would slip but otherwise would not on better looking sections of the rope.

I replaced their climb line with Blue Tongue and they have been doing fine from then on. Is your rope becoming wore out or mis-shaped from use?
