Your website & Reciprocal Link Resources

For any arborists interested in reciprocating website links, I figured out a way to set aside a couple of pages where I could add landscape contractors or arborists, located outside my region.

The information about exchanging link resources is at:

M. D. Vaden Links Resources

I didn't want to use just the criteria of certified arborists. Will just have to play it by ear.

The invite is open to landscape contractors or skilled landscape maintenance also. The link exchange resources do work. For a fact. Its tested and proven.

Already got networking with 2 more oompanies since posting here and at 2 other sites.

I noticed last night, that one window cleaning company has very effectively used this networking strategy with other window cleaning companies from other cities and states. A Beaverton, Oregon, company, too.

hi md i would be interested in linking up vice-versa, however i am in ct. would it work for both of us? i like your site it is really nice and you look like you do great work. i do almost all landscaping with tree preservation, any heavy work i always refer my fellow arborists. you can check out my web site it is fairly new but what you are saying sounds interesting.

Sure ... it would work fine even though its across the nation. Especially if I include your city and state inside your link title.

You almost need to add a page to your website for extra resource links. A lot of companies don't neccessarily put it up in their main menu. Some folks also use this type of page to add reference to industry links too, like ISA, TCIA, university research sites, etc..

I know of one landscaper who hides the links page. But I think search engines put less value on website's page that is isolated: like no internal links to get to it within the site. 1 or 2 steps away from the home page, via internal links is a rule of thumb many folks prefer.

Here one site that has a links page: Highridge Landscaping Look at "About Us" in the menu.

Here is a supplier in our area, who decided to add a main menu button Valley Landscape Center

And here is one that chose small text "reciprocal links" on the lower left side: Seeds Website

There is a lot of versatility to how its arranged.

My home page Pagerank of PR4 is fairly useful for other sites when I link to them. There is hardly a regular size tree service or landscape company with more than a PR5. PR4 is pretty much tops for the average. Davey Tree has a PR6. And the ISA is PR6 too. Those Pageranks are heavily determined by how many websites worldwide are linking to them, like votes.

Pagerank is not a guarantee of results in searches online. Content is important. But Pagerank definitely aids to boost a site which has relevant content.

This hasn't been updated in some time, so I thought I would chime in. The last time Page Rank was updated was 2013, so i would not be using anymore as a metric. A better metric to use would be moz's free domain authority checker, which is very similar to pagerank https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority
