Your Favorite Photo taken 2009

ClimbnCut it is a white Oak. I was lucky, i got to climb it twice. Once for deadwood, second for a lightning protection system. I think it was even more beautiful on the inside.

The community is really taking care of that tree, we air spaded the entire drip line, and mixed mushroom soil into it, then re-mulched it. Hope to be the one to go back in a few years.

Keep the pictures coming, i'm really enjoying this thread.

I took this at our TCC in October. I played with it and converted it to BW.

You reminded me of a favorite B&W in my files.

I think it looks best in color, but the B&W gives a late 19th century look to it.

Thanks, Adrian. I took over 200 photos to get that one pic. I was there for almost 5 hours.

The ocean scenes are very dynamic. In the respect that they change second to second, minute to minute. And as long as you keep taking pictures each one is different. The waves breaking, the sky changing, and the birds flying through.

Taking pictures of a natural scene in the woods on the other hand you can take 200 pictures and they would all pretty much be the same. Unless of course the lighting was changing during that time. And that can make a big difference, but usually not much.

Trees have always been the hardest subject for me to photograph. To capture them like your eye sees them you have to really know how light reflects and be there at the right time to squeeze the shutter when the moment is right.

Nice one. I was hoping you would post.

That's my kind of weather in that shot too.

It's got the darker birds against the light spots in the clouds which makes them easier to see, and the water cascading over the rocks at the same time.
