Yale 11mm Double Braid Climbing Line

I don't know about the name "Pyro." Sounds a little...."not right in the head." I do like the name Blaze. That might be my favorite of the three Jamie just listed. The name "Heat" is tied with my Blaze for my favorites. Karina says she likes the name "Ember." It's not as common of a word as Heat, she says.

Bigjohn just emailed me with the name Lava Line. I like the sound of that and Karina says it's nice, too. Lavaline? LavaLine? Rolls off the tongue nice, and sticks with the "fire, pheonix, spark" theme.

good ones.....

so far we like PYRO, FLASH is taken by someone I think ( I'll check Mark ), and BLAZE.

Any favorites for these 3 ?

I do not know of Beddes relationship with Edelrid but he did mention the name should be short and sweet. Able to roll off the tougne type name. The above names sound great. Thanks to all for your help.

HEY!

How do you expect a authentic name without the possibility of trying it out and speaking from our experience? Instead of a lot of marketing BS?

AND!

I'm one of the oldest progressive climbers in PA, 63 years old. I've 2 major works in the Smithsonian, 4 pieces in the Hirschhorn, who remembers what it is in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Want a real sound bit statement, send me 150'.

All I've got so far is a beautiful description from Big JOhn on how it lite up the back of his vehicle and he thought the lights were on. And a picture from Nick.

Let's get fair here,
Jack

Hey, how bout "bitchen'" You know "Hey man, you got any of that new 'bitchen' Yale rope yet?"

Sounds cool, dont think the PR man would dig it though.

OR speaking of thiings being cool, how bout.............. COOL!

(insert 'cool' above in place of bitchen.)

I might have missed it but why the "fire" theme. It seems like a double negative, fire and rope. Ropes create alot of heat, but seems like biggest complaint is heat generated on our ropes and cords. I get a negative vision when I hear "fire" with my rope.

I think more of a Hi-Tech theme would be more appropriate. So let's say something like..... SONIC or QUANTUM. What do you guys think??

I've trusted you on a lot of calls! (Are you getting something 'special' from Yale?) /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can't wait ................., still waiting ........... . .. . . . . . .

Ver ist der Blaze?

What's up w/ Yale, all of this word running around about the rope, but no supply. If they're gonna wait till TCI to come out w/ it then they've let the word out too early in my opinion. I'm so tired of waiting to get my hands on some i'm about to buy some velocity just to cure my curiosity.
Does anyone know of a Suspected release date?

The guy at Yale was nice enough to return an email last week. He said he really wanted to get the rope "out there". He listed a few places in the states, said that www.drayer.de will have it soon in Germany, and that if that failed, it was available from Yale.

Word on the street is that OK Arbo Supply has already placed there order. Maybe check with David Sparks. He should have it in a few weeks and you can /forum/images/graemlins/driving.gif drive on over to OK and get some, or I'm sure he'll ship it!
