J. David, the Liriodendron SMASHER! All y'all are such rock stars.

I see you might run into an acronym problem if you try to make a Ten, Twelve, or Twenty Hole Thingy. :) I can already imagine stacking those back to back for more friction and make a Six Hole Thingy, but it's really Three deep holes, or stagger them...I'm sure you've tried all that already.

Ha ha, Lihriodendron smasher , sounds more masculine than the Tulip Terminator. I do think I'm a Tulip man; but those that know the tree know it's not feminine. Although, some day, I'm sure a female could handle them; maybe my daughter. :-)

great treework but the video editing is horrible, too much in the way of effects and zoom etc and pointless slo mo of people's feet walking onto the the jobsite like its Reservoir Dogs

bring back simple tree vid edits please, dont mind the odd effect/music here and there but this vid was way over the top and too X treme.

TC: to make things short; go xxxx yourself. ;-)

But, after joking aside and being more serious, I understand partially what you are saying. I don't know what reservoir dogs is though; a show I guess?

X-man, google it. Then download it. It's a Quentin Tarantino movie. It's kinda old by now, before Pulp Fiction I think. But, you should check it out. I haven't seen it in years so I don't know how it compares against the backdrop of today's movies. But, it was the dog's bollocks back in the day.

That was August that did that video. MY EDITS will be just as you say though. Because I'm not that good.

honestly had NOT thought of stacking. interesting !

I appreciate the creative drive of August more than ever after this one. Really well thought out and put together. Absolutely top level quality video matched only by the very highest level rigging, cutting, and climbing. A perfect match. Outstanding!!!

John, you caught that huh? good eye. It's a proven and great design and it's adjustable, but not a whoopie design.
My new website store is not up yet, write us and we can quote you a price and sell you one.

I like to use stuff for a VERY long time before offering to the public. It's been long enough now.

I've got a lot of deadline coming up on important stuff, so please be patient and write twice if I lose you.

by the way, I WILL be putting out my own edits of videos on my channel in my own regular style that is NOT so artistic and not so "buddy buddy feel to it". Don't worry my hardcore friends. X-Treem Video Productions is not gone.

Are you kidding, I often wonder why I don't see the "Treebuzz Go Go Girls" in your vids. Get on it Hunklie!

Email sent. Thank you X. If it were a whoopie it could be the D.R.A.W. Double ring adjustable whoopie :-).

cool acronym. but it's not a whoopie; but it is adjustable and that's all I'll say for now. Another design is NOT adjustable and is tie-able; I actually prefer it myself.

August' video and editing skills are second to none....his timing in particular. Although, probably Brian (Bixler)/is right up along side him. For me this video was just a little too far from reality though....more so that it was a representation if David. Many of David's videos in the past have an angry edge to them, the work ethic, the choice of music even. Having known him personally for a number of years now there's an honesty In that, in his videos. Special FX not needed. Granted, people don't high 5 where I'm from....but that among with the boot walking etc just about made me cringe. Its just tree work, not a boy band. Sorry if I offend anyone, I don't mean to, but same as T.C said earlier, it just too staged and unrealistic for my taste at least.

Reg, you know I really like it when people talk from the heart and speak what is real without (or despite) fear of who may not like it, so thank you for posting this. August's video skills are incredible and the best final products for MOST people to enjoy. His large subscriber number count in a short amount of years proves that. I have never had "non-arborist" type of family members tune into a video and actually like it. They liked this X video. I can have any random person watch it and they really like it.
THAT is his strong point. He is an amazing video producer for the masses.
THAT is very marketable and he should have a career in video advertisement, if he wishes to do so.
Now, it also says you kinda like my own edits (I think); so I'll take that as a compliment and motivate me for my next edit. It is not going to be "angry" though.
Also, when people visit here, I think they are shocked to find that I'm not an angry yelling person on the job site; we often actually have a very good time. The swinging Hi-Five was my idea and I do like the camaraderie of other skilled climbers.

You're right David. Listen to the masses, Tim and I are the absolute minority....perhaps says something that we're both originally from the UK.

We do too appreciate comradary within the job also, when its deserved....but it'd be a lot more subtle....a nod, a wink....maybe the sharing of a cigarette etc. Would stop short at physically touching another man though. Its a cultural thing probably.

When I said Angry, I perceive it as a direct and no nonsense approach. You've never been backward In coming forward. I didn't mean you walk around being argry with everyone and situation.

August has his style of film making, works for him suberb....I just didn't think it suited you so much. Doesn't matter what I think though, the majority loves it and that's more important. As you were.
