X-ring, ring and ring sling info

How much are they charging for it and what name do they have for it? I'd like to see it!

Just to be clear, they don't make an ultra sling safebloc yet.

I roll around with this:

https://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?item=14523

Which costs $80 and really needs the 2ft. length I had added to it. As is, it seems set up to negative block a 20' section of 18" diameter trunk... #notmyultra :/ And I use a block with it.

I'd really like to try a safebloc with the ultra loops spliced to take the safebloc through each loop by the safebloc's end profile. Are we on the same page brotha?

You could also do up one of those swag fiori thimbles of glory in an ultra conformation...

I've got one of these that I made with the Beast X Ring 12' long. These are easy to splice, you have to count out every loop precisely and do a triple Brummell splice, so you can apply tension from either end.

Hmmm... I see a spool of tenex in my future, lol. I'm in year 3 of climbing - been focused on staying alive, then sizing up the gear. Finally bought my ms 660 after running around with 18-20" bars (with the occassional "hey, can i borrow your 440?) the whole time... Dropping urban spars with ms 250s when the "big" dolmar dcs 6000i goes to shop gets ridiculous, just saying. So far I've only done a locking brummel splice, on dynamic cabling. I have a lot of respect for you guys that splice. Thinking to practice on my captain hook line soon since it ain't life support... right? ;)

Okay everyone, the ball has been put into motion. The FTC-Tree co. Doesn't normally do end user business, but since they don't have anyone in the States for sales, they are going to make an exception for this Ring. I requested 12 of them but they won't be ready for a few months. Yes, you read that correctly, it will be several months before the are shipped to me, I/They don't know what the cost will be until the Ring is done, due to the cost of labor and materials and let's not forget that big boat ride across the pond. So, I did ask what colors and what could be printed on the rings. I will keep everyone up to date, when I hear anything I will update the crew! Have a safe day everyone.

Okay.
Thank you. That wait is a little disappointing, but it is understandable.

Edit: didn't want to bump more, but I was flipping through their catalog and they have a few cool things that I have never seen before. Their slingshot heads are really very different from the ones I am familiar with, and check out these grippy things on their spurs. And these mini-blocks.

I've gone cross eyed looking at all the man candy in their catalogue! They have some great gear. But, no Stateside Stores, unless we get one of our favorite Arb Stores to open communications with them. But, that'll raise the price for us! I personally don't know about that.

Let's get the rings first Dave, after that I'd say try to talk to someone about dealing their products

Oh Brother, you are thinking exactly what I am! I'm not going to get our deal cut out of the picture before someone gets the idea to raise the price and make things harder on us! Our group comes first , then we can discuss commercializing the rings! We started the ball rolling, so we come first! Anyone disagree with this?

Dave, I'm still comfortable with everything.
Hey maybe you should become a certified splicer and sell your own products? You already have a link. ;)

LOL, that's a tough call! There's a ton of training and certification courses that have to be met! Then there's creating a website, along with some other things that I'm surely unaware of. That's one thing that I do take pride in, every rope that I climb on and rig with were all spliced by me. So am I crazy or extremely confident in my abilities. I've always lived by the credo that you either lead or you follow! I've stepped on a lot of toes in my lifetime, but I'd like to think that I've made more friends than enemies. Thanks for the idea though!

WOW, I'VE MISSED A LOT. Been busy. I've wanted a couple of those massive rings ever since I saw the video we've all seen. @Dave Rohach, I'd love 2, but I fear they may be more than I can swing depending on when they come in and wouldn't want to leave you stuck with the tab. Lol( mostly because I do the tree work part time right now)
