There's a guy on IG that just posted a DIY version made from 2 handled ascenders.

Yeah man, that's me and I did a video of the build. I'm kind of thinking instead of ascenders it might be better to use rope grabs on a DIY version of the Rope Jack, but the dang thing works and that's what matters to me. It's cheap compared to a store bought Rope Jack and I only need to tighten a line once in a while

RocknRescue has em for 215, and I’ve got 20% off and some store credit with them too I’m probably going that route....id like to check this out though. Do you recall his Instagram handle? Also rocknrescue has super competitive prices and a good stock of Arb gear, worth checking them out (non-paid spokesperson).
