Work Photos

I don't get to cut many trees anymore, but I do get to drive...and drive...and drive....so I'll just sit back and be jealous of all your adventures while sharing some slightly less impressive pictures

The farthest "out there" point you can drive to in New Brunswick, the Miscou Island Lighthouse. I may have taken an extended lunch break to get there (it's about a 45 min drive past my farthest work site...each way), but I'd never been and it was a slow day :hueco:

Then yesterday, in Canada's Irish Capital no less, I found myself driving right toward that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.....should have bought a lottery ticket.

Man, now I'm hungry. Lucky Charms are my favourite.

I underwent a career change last year and I'm now a forest technician. I still climb recreationally and occasionally help my old boss with tree work when he gets really backed up.

At least you get to climb on occasion. I drive my wife crazy, if there is an extremely slow week of tree climbing.

Thanks, @Levi.CO. The Silo property is a few hundred acres, right on the Atlantic. It was a rather large farm years ago, but now it's being renovated. The Silo was to be a swanky lookout, so it no longer needed to hold grain. Several of the original bands were rusted and broken, and there was no ladder. The contractor knew of me, and asked if we could restore all the hardware through rope access. It was a careful process, and we were tied into an internal staging structure.

The photos on the boat were taken while Salmon fishing in Kenai, Alaska. I snapped the photo of my bro and buddy, Jason, while they were lookin' all wicked salty and junk.

One of the groundies started counting but gave up. They were very close together, getting late, everybody tired,,,,

We had to remove 8 of these bamboo sticks and cable every logs to minimize damage to the surrounding tree and get the wood out of the site....No crane so a lot of fun for 2.5 days with my 2 partners...

Early morning removal by the lake with gooses and ducks flying over my head non stop!

Rare bucket removal.
