One of the five silver maples to remove today for a storm sewer replacement project. I got the sixth one down to the spar. Don't tell my boss! I'm trying to not have to work Wednesday so I can be early to the expo

A whole mess of removals in a small area. Bad news: tight site, smaller LZ. Good news: 45 ton crane at pretty short radius and I could do most of them from the bucket (which meant I could actually take some pictures for once!)

Can someone explain to me why the power company will go ground to sky on everything they can have big orange do with a boom but leave a POS silver maple grow this close to a pole with a transformer? Please, someone let me know.
Besides the hours with the 661 it was one hell of a beautiful day for November.

National NBT45, 45 ton, 142' of hydraulic stick, but on a regular truck chassis. I think it's the ultimate tree killer!!

Yes. And no. But I do roll my own cigs. It's a lifesaver in the summer. Well worth the extra weight. Make sure you get the milspec insulated. Cheap new on eBay. Last pic 10k

I consider my camel back just as essential, as far as ppe, as my helmet is. Working in the Texas summers without it, you are a ticking time bomb.
