Woodsman chipper troubles

Question regarding our woodsman chipper's inability to throw the chips. The engine runs well and at appropriate rpm. New drive belt, and we adjusted the clutch. No issues in the discharge shoot. Seals are good around the drum. Makes nice chips but can't throw them. It just slops into the truck and lots doesn't even make it into the truck, any ideas or thoughts?

Does this happen when chipping wood, brush or both? This will happen to us with wet brush. Occasionally when we throw a real rotten log thru too. What model do you have?

It used to be just wet or really rotten but now its everything brush wood dead alive doesn't matter. I'll have to check that model number for you

Get me the model number. We run all woodsmans and have a full time mechanic that works on all of them. I'll ask him and see if he has any ideas, or something specific to look for.

Maybe check to make sure the anvil is not bent and is within tolerance to the spinning drum. Our old morbark 13 has the same issue. Chamber is just not tight enough and the fins on the drum don't produce much airflow.

Good advise on the anvil the guys doing the knives didn't have it set right. Thanks a bunch

I have a woodsman 18x, I would almost guarantee your drive belt is slipping and needs tightened. Take some chalk and mark your belt then the side of the pulley with a connected line. Then start it up and give it a real good heavy bump to engage. Shut it off and re check your lines.
