Apparently I am now a "Well-known" member. Not sure what all that means but I do recall reading somewhere that when you hit "Well-known" @Tom Dunlap sends you a toaster. I could be mistaken.

I do want to thank all the folks on this forum though for being some of the most professional (grading on a curve and removing @JeffGu from the results ;^), and helpful people I have ever bumped into. The group effort here has produced a tree-mendous knowledge base and list of resources for anyone trying to learn more about arboriculture. Speaking as someone with a wide variety of interests, I have not seen this level of cooperation, innovation, and community growth anywhere else.

Working my way through the archive here has been amazing. To see new innovations in equipment and techniques grow from casual conversations into industry game changers and new companies in their own right. My work has brought me into 20-30 different industries and again I have never seen this kind of rapid evolution in disciplines that are thousands of years old like many arborist jobs are.

So please excuse my flippant joking and uneducated questions, I am grateful to be a fly on this wall.

Thank you all!

You can thank Mark and Tom for this. They set the tone of the site, true professionals in every sense. I count it an honor to call them friend! And you are also correct in the contributions of the rest of us. We are passionate about our profession and want to see it elevated above something that people do on weekends for beer money. Hope you stick around for a long time.

My prize for becoming a Well-Known Member is getting to know everyone hear, and having the new found knowledge I obtained from them. Not to mention a strong sense of brotherhood.
