What's your favorite BOOTS ?

Damn it, I try hard to not be cynical. Thanking god for killing 99% innocent people would make Jesus cringe pinhead.
Thank you.
For The word "Jesus Cringe" .... lol

I've learned one new expression word today. LoL

Well, Glad to know many people here are very informed and have had studied themselves , questioned each of ourselves & aware .

I can see & feels all of us had take a look back & reflected & question ourselves deeply what if we've experienced what old Japanese people had to experienced back in a day and each of us came up & has some unique answers to that past tragic event that occurred in our saddest period of world history and I can see thar we all of are aware that it was an typical case of " its resulted alright but clearly a worst senseless mistake and disaster " event to each of our mind. And we won't repeat same mistakes that our forefathers did .

Meaning, We all did our homework each our own.
Then
" Put ourselves in someone's shoes... " and had actually considered the worst case scenario in a history once or twice, reached to a our common clear answers to it .

To tell the truth, actually that hideous douchebagary statement that I've made are coming from my Ex- coworker or one of some acquaintances of mine to me like everytime I have a chance to speak with him.

So, its not really actually coming from me.

Ironically...

His real name is JAMES . LMAO

or Jameson he goes by that names sometimes.

" James P. C. " Is his name. if anyone shows up to get a work with that name THEN you know what to do...
LAMO

This idiot keep telling me and gas lighting around me How glorious that We U.S. won the world war 2 & ended war by bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki against Japan empire .

TO ME... As Japanese decent individual . Can you imagine? I have to put up with idiot like him each times at work and off the work & how I feels each times I hear that hurtful statements who has nothing to do with WW2 or Rape of Nanking, comfort lady & such ? Let's assume My grand grand pa committed crimes and could be also guilty in 2022 ? Jeez ... Ohh ! I wasn't even born in WW2 !!

He also tells How it is important for us to vote on Trump for next election. Yes , He is MAGA supporter... I'm just a republican side dude. But no way I'm gonna be a Trump supporter .
I'm sorry for those who likes him but I'm not . At least I gave him a chance and we know what the story this that dude.

And he keep reminding me to Do not Wear a pair of Carolina boots because you are not worthy to wear those. You ain't a truly a White !! You have absolutely NO RIGHT to wear CAROLINA BOOTS !!!
( psss !? He is from Carolina. )

Well , I guess our Universe had spoken loud and clear from our arborist's world to him today .

I'm gonna tell him our reactions from this forum directly. I guess hopefully this could be his real eyes opener for him , a good learning curve to grow up a 1/2 inch in mentally and in physically with his wee wee in his pants LAMO

Or perhaps, he already knows by reading this thread with his fake name fake profiles...lol who knows who really cares .... LoL

Well , well well...

Let's go back to the thread title subject & boot out that such a depressing images and Krazy idea !

Shall we, Gents ? LoL

I’ve had the protectors as well.
My understanding is the saw protection is on the toe of the AirPower as well. It bloody better be, anyway.

You can send any Haix boots back to them to be resoled. My protectors were quite evenly and thoroughly worn so I skipped that option, plus was excited for something with a lighter profile.
Have you sent your protector boots in to be resoled? I didn’t know that was a possibility, but if you have done so, I would be THRILLED!

I hadn’t, I’ve just seen it on their site. Those folks have great customer service.
I just looked, and it said specifically they cannot resole boots with the vibram outsole…. If thats the case it’s kind of a bummer because the uppers are still in great shape, but the treads are getting thin/smooth….. if anybody knows of a cobbler that has done a vibram sole on a similar boot, please share. I’d love to keeps these boots in service.

Drop a line to Hoffman Boots, they'd probably be able to. I've never used their repair service, but I wear Hoffman Classics daily and when the soles wear out I'll be sending them in for a resole.

Look at companies the resole rock climbing shoes. There are some who also do canyoneering or mountaineering boots, one of those might be able to do it.

i've done loggers, la sportiva/scarpa, and am on my 3rd set of arbpro evos. The 2nd gen are much better in spikes than the originals. My only complaint is they don't last as long as the la sportiva or scarpa mountain boots but are much better for spikeless climbing imo. Price is also reasonable for the life span, I've been getting 1.5 yrs out of them.

Never tried the Whites or Nicks, they sure look like they'd be super durable.

Spikes 99% of the time.
Cervino Wood by Andrews Boots. Onto my 3rd set. Waterproof, chainsaw protection, steel toe and awesome on spikes. I pay about $450 AUD a pair, myself and 3 other workmates use them and often get 2+ years out of them compared to a $200 generic set of work boots that might last 5-6 months without the comfort.

Generally sole is wore down to nothing and some spur holes have turned into rips after 2 years prompting replacement. Have seen some laces eyes rip out and a split start on the heel after 2 years. Other than that haven’t had any issues. They also have an attachment for knee ascender which is incredibly handy.

I’ve always worn logger/fire boots. The hawthorn explorers are a great boot for around $300. Get about three years out of each pair. Had at least five pairs. My understanding is they’re made by whites but machine stitched instead of hand stitched. Just bought those $700 JK boots I saw on the treeson video because fuck it. They’re more of a summer boot so I haven’t worn them on the job yet but they do feel exceptionally solid

I'm a big fan of the Lowa Alpine Expert GTX, but still curious to try other options. I think they stopped making them actually, so I do need to find something else. Stiff and strong mountaineering boots that work well on the loose slopes I'm on, narrow for spurless climbing, and very good for standing on spurs.

Used vs new pair:

Nice. I just got some of those and was wondering how those eyelets might hold up. Looks like yours did just fine!

Forgive me for not reading every post on this thread, my head can’t handle it today. I’m eyeing the Haix Missoula 2.1 for my next pair. A friend has the 2.0 and loves them. Anybody else wear these before? The heel, tread, height, and flexibility are all appealing to me. I’ve been in the evo 2 for the last 3-4 years, and am ready to change things up again.

I like sticking with something that works moderately well, learning the nuances, but then eventually get bored and want to try something else, if for no other reason than gathering more data.

I wear the HAIX Protectors and I absolutely love them. I am split evenly between spurs and and just climbing, and even on the ground, they're probably the most comfortable boot I have ever owned, though I have not had opportunities to try most arb focused boots.

The protectors are required for some of the work I do, but I am not a fan when working on rocky, sloped terrain. That’s partially why I’m looking at the Missoulas- I need something other than a climbing boot, but don’t always have to wear the protectors. I didn’t share the whole situation in my first post. I hope the Ms can be dual purpose.
