What do you think

Hi first off I'd like to say thank you to everyone for all the professionalism and information that everyone shares I've learned a ton every time Im on here.
I'm new (past 2 years) to tree climbing and have learned so many new technics and ways to be safe from all the forms and videos all the good info out there please keep sharing and helping to promote safe practices.

So the other day I was drooling over stuff I wish I had on treestuff and started thinking well hell I think i could make me one of those (for my self as I know they are patented) and wanted to see what people thought of it.

Technically the wrench is not life support. .. so go for it. I've seen quite a few imitations that don't look nearly as tough as yours and work just fine. All you're doing is adding a little friction so your hitch runs smoothly.

Looks nice, only one word of caution. Watch the push plunger you chose, if the sleeve/roller on it binds it may cause the pin to come out. Those pins work well for what they were dedesigned for but, they may over time in your usage develop small flats on the ball if the pin rotates. Keep an eye on it is all I'm saying. Once again though, nice looking tool.

Very nice! I second what is said about the pin, but at the same time, I always preferred those pins to the slic pins. You just have to watch and replace them as nessicary.

Thanks guys i'm excited to give it a shot I was thinking about that on the pins as well thought if it gave me any trouble I'd knock the balls out and put it ring through it.

Looks good. I made mine very similar to yours when I built one. (Although I fly on a ZK2 now) a word of caution, watch the nuts, even nyloc nuts. I had one come off while I was 100ft+ up.
