VT Friction Question?

Ok, so I've been climbing off a 4 wrap 3 braid VT for years, but now that I'm climbing with the new DMM pulleySAVER, I'm finding that the friction shift down to my VT hitch is too much.

I was thinking about switching to a 4 wrap 2 braid, or 3 wrap 3 braid VT. Does anyone know which one would be better to use?

I'm thinking wraps are according to weight (of the climber). Braids are about the length of the cord. And the thickness of the cord is about the size of your hand. If my hitch is getting to grippy I'll retie it but first check the wear. If it's gone flat I'll flip around or send off for a new one.

2 wraps 3 braids when dry and when wet I tend to make an extra wrap.

It all depends on what hitch cord and climbing line you use....there is absolutely no standard.

I use the 8mm OP on a blaze 11 mm climbing line and that works great for me.
You best should try some different setups and find out what suits you best
