(video)--> Ice climbing Minnesota\'s biggest fall!

My partner is the climber in the yellow jacket and I am the climber in the blue jacket. Check it out:

By the time I finished the route I had no feeling in my hands and I could wring the ice cold water out of my gloves. We then proceeded to spend the night in a tent enjoying Minnesota's minus 30 degree temps. I hope you enjoyed the video!

Looks like fun. We have the same shield rocks in the northern half of Saskatchewan. Oldest rock in the world they say.

Can't put my finger on it but that looks cold for some reason.

I like the idea that you are climbing on water. Kinda blows my mind, I bet a lot of ice climbers get off on the concept! Maybe on my bucket list, but not at the top. :)

My second ice climbing lessons were at the base where the ice bulbs out.

Mike Dahlberg, he used to work at MW Mountaineering, maybe he still does, and his partner, Larry ??? were my instructors.

Climbing ice is fun! More like climbing trees than rock climbing is like climbing trees.

this looks like you were having lots of fun, but my hands are getting cold just watching you video. ;-)

I would have thought you would use wrist lanyards for your ice axes ???
