Vermeer BC1400XL - 2004 model

Selling my Vermeer Bc1400XL. Excellent condition, new winch line with choker, new clutch and new knives. Cat engine with 122 hp, less than 1100 hours on machine. Machine has always been parked inside and serviced regularly Extra set of new knives, filters (air and fuel) included. Asking $19,700.00.

Not sure. About a month ago the machine was upgraded with new engine mounts. They also removed the muffler, install new foam around the engine comparement, new drum belt, a device to hold the shoot arm from moving and stronger metal around the cutter bar.

Yes they did, the engine mounts were part of the upgrade. They put the foam on mine too. It makes closing the hood harder because it won't always catch the latch. I take it that your selling because of all the problems with the 1400.

It's more because of the ownership of my local dealership. The staff at my local Vermeer dealer are great. But the political headaches I have to put up with when dealing with their main office(NJ - no offense) is pushing me away from Vermeer. They don't seem to care about customer service and when something does go wrong with my machine. It seems they always want to point the finger to the user. I've been accused of trying to chip to big of logs, using a loader to load and not performing proper maintance on this machine. Eventhough I'm a small Tree Service, I do have a mechanic on staff who everyday checks and service my equipment. We don't load any of my chippers with a loader and I'm also partners in a sawmill business. So alot of my logs get milled. Any other sizeable wood a gentleman who deals in firewood comes to the job site and picks up. Any large pieces he can't handle we load with our knuckleboom.

I will post pictures tomorrow, once I figure out this new camera.
