Universal remote controls for tv/dvd

The remote control for my dvd player made it's for freedom. I can buy an exact replacement for about $40. The remote for the tv works fine.

Having only one remote would be nice, especially if they have a "finder" beep built in. The problem that I have with electronic technology is that it is problematic getting things programed or setup. A while ago I had a "universal" remote that didn't operate all of the functions on the machines. What good is that?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an easy to setup remote?

Do not but this one. The screen is supposed to light up when you pick it up. Mine lights up when I walk in the room and unless your house is made of concrete, it will suck the batteries dry in two days.. Granted, I live in an old house.

Ha Ha!!! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif I had the same one! My wife bought it for me and it went dead every couple weeks. JUNK! Good idea, but who wants to replace batteries every few weeks? I did like the beeper/finder it had-very cool /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif
