Unicender 2-The latest version & an updated Uni 1

New version looks like it cannot be installed midline?

There really isn't a 'new' version. The mini-Uni is a prototype that Morgan came up with a few years ago.

Check out the date of the original thread :)

Who would have thought at the time we'd have so many other SRT options...or that there would be a Best Practices SRT Manual coming from TCIA??? What a time we live in!

Re: Unicender 2-The latest version & an updated Un

I would just love to see replaceable wear points and a better bottom rope capture with a roller like suggested. I was wrapping the tail around the L piece for one handed swings and such but can now swing one handed without wraping anything. I only use the 'controlled' descent mode for long descents now. It is a great device which has allowed me to make the transition to full SRWP and have done every tree SRT for the last 10 or so months this way I'll never climb Ddrt again lol. It'd be great to see some more development on such a fantastic tool

The zig zag looks to me like a uni 2. Non midline attacheable uni with a tender and swivel built in.steel wear points. Throw on a zk2 and your srt ready. I believe morgan was thinking about a non midline attacheable uni. I believe it would have looked just like the zig zag.

Once the zigzag is released i'd love to see some reports with how it fares with a ZK2. I reckon it'll be a sweet setup.

Yes,it works very well. A tether that is half the length (5-6") seems to work well. I only had a few days on it though. Just a reminder...PETZL IS NOT APPROVING IT FOR USE IN SINGLE LINE CONFIGURATION!!

Re: Unicender 2-The latest version & an updated Un

how does the zig zag appear to be affecting your rope. I have heard some grumblings that it may not be too rope friendly.
