With all the publicity the Kennedy assassination is getting its worthy to note the news coverage of the day..
One of the crucial elements in black ops is controlling the story. And the way to do that is to get the desired falsified story out before any the real story can get a foot hold.
CBS TV broke the news to the country with this statement:
(Black screen with "CBS News Bulletin") Voice: "Here is a bulletin from CBS news. In Dallas Texas, three shots were fired at president Kennedy's motorcade in downtown Dallas. (high pitched ring as coverage switches live to Walter Cronkite) "this is Walter Cronkite in our newsroom in... (sound fade for a moment) there has been an attempt, as perhaps you know now, on the life of President Kennedy. He was wounded in an automobile driving from the Dallas airport into downtown Dallas, along with Governor Connolly of Texas. They've been taken to Parkland hospital there, where their condition is as yet unknown."
Notice the opening with the news the "3 shots were fired", which is a crucial element to the lone gunman story. Any more than three shots could not have been fired in the time, which would have unquestionably meant a second gunman and a conspiracy.
And so it was with reports of the names of the 19 hijackers on the day of 9/11...
