Ummm, really?

I was just impressed at how small the LZ was, how much debris was on the ground, and that neither shop nor either skid steer was crushed...yet

I don't have to pay all that money to some tree guy! I'll figure out how to get it down myself. HA! I'm an eff'n genius!!

Or something like that......

The stories I'm hearing about accidents with ladders, chainsaws and, amateurs are enough to make my head spin. They may have a ladder but it's not quite long enough for the job or the right type. Off they go anyway like the video above. Obviously this guy flunked out of high school physics class and, common sense....

Hmm, I wonder what the story is with the other skid steer? I see a bucket on what should be a big skid, it's well over the guy wearing dayglo's head, but I don't see a ROPS or a canopy on it. It's really amazing sometimes just what homeowners will do to save a buck.

A person took this picture, in Murray Harbour, North PEI.
It's a guy cutting down a tree in his backyard.
The cops showed up, told the guy he couldn't do what he was doing.

He told them to go to hell - it's his property and his tree.

I personally think he has won balls of the year award and I think he's married. Need I say more

Nah man he aced those subjects, lol yea we had some bad storms blow through the Iowa city area a few weeks ago and I had a h.o. Come out and ask if could rent our nifty lift...to do his our power line clearance, he had a chain saw and gloves he said....I looked at him told him the price to rent it and I was floored with his response " I could hire someone for cheaper" I was like heres your sign

People like that are they reason we have all these regs an rules an those people never get caught unless there hurt an they give us professionals the same label hacks an I take pride in safety an quality on my job sites

Regs and rules arise out of accidents and the willingness of companies to do the minimum. This would only impact us if he were a professional (paid) arborist/tree guy. I'm guessing he's just a buddy with a chainsaw and not enough sense to operate it properly. Lucky he didn't take a piece of his leg on a few of those cuts!

I seen a guy taken down a 100 foot cotton wood few years back as I drive bye I seen him jump too another limb around 70 feet up with running shoes black jeans an a sweater on no safety nothing crazy
