UK. Two ropes at all times Change petition

Great initiative! I recently sent email to ISA asking what their stance was on “twin tension” regulations being imposed on climbers in US, should it ever become an issue over here. I asked if they would lobby against proposal of similar requirements for US climbers. I’ll let you know when I get response. Has anyone reached out to Industry associations to see what their position is? I would think ISA and TCIA world be strong presence in any consideration of similar regulations being imposed here in US.

Peter at TCIA might be the better contact for that question. As far behind the times as OSHA is with our industry, I wouldn't worry about it too soon. Other than the general duty and electrical regulations, OSHA has no other specific documents for our industry and they rely on our ANSI Z-133 which was produced voluntarily by our industry.

I’ll send him an email as well, checking in once in a while to try to get a pulse on weather they feel any new regulations are needed.

There is a focus group being formed as an advisory to OSHA on the upcoming tree industry specific standards. The hope is to have regulations for us and not lump us into other green industry regulations. I’m one of a bunch of people on that group. I’ll keep everyone posted

Are you talking about the ISA International Safety committee?
