Two American Elms

Came across these photos from a job this summer. Two elms down a hill in a backyard with no access. Centerline of the furthest tree was 130' from the curb.

I don't have any action photos. Homeowner was taking pics and my camera ran out of batteries! Here's the last piece of the first tree. Oiler, and the stump grinder we managed to squeek over the house.

Ascending the second tree. The Western limbs were overarching the primary in the background.

Setting for the second pick. At max. extension and the boom as close to the roof as possible, the crane was only good for 1500lbs.

Last one. Once Jim finished grinding the first stump, we could use two climbers again. I like working this way... easier on the feet and bit quicker.

Next time I'll bring an extra battery for the camera!

Thanks, I gotta get a helmet cam. Maybe this spring.
Really, I was just bored and figured I'd post something halfway interesting.

That is a massive sycamore!
