Tripple action snaps

Thanks, fellas. They sure do make this stuff confusing!
So I'm guessing that a "double-action" or "single locking" biner (twist gate collar against spring, then open gate against spring) would not be Z133-compliant...?

Correct. Not compliant for life support. Snaps are fine in the double locking variety. The issue with snaps comes from the interface with the “d” ring. Large “d” rings and small snaps can have rollout issues.

Thank you, Brocky.
Do many of you have any use for a steel triple action carabiner? Saw a Fusion branded one on ebay for $22 with 50kN strength lengthwise...what would this be used for? Rigging? Setting up a TIP with SRT? I think someone here talked about using steel biner for that...if so, what type of lock and carabiner generally would be preferred for that, particularly for getting the rope back out of the tree from below? I saw something somewhere about using a small biner and a large biner somehow to retrieve the line from below, I need to find that video.
I get the feeling that learning to climb involves a lot of buying the wrong stuff at first...
ETA: Thanks, Tony. When you say "double locking snaps," I guess you mean like the swivel snap on a Yale Maxi Flipline, like this?

Steel carabiners are good when you need more strength, durability, or for the weight. I use a steel oval on my lanyard for easier advancing. The large and small carabiners are used for a midline attachable friction/ cambium saver like the two ring ones. Tie a knot on the rope, pull it through the large carabiner, the small carabiner stops the knot, pull and the large ring comes over the top of the branch. Tying a throw line on the rope allows a more controlled removal.
