Trees from a distance

South Carolina has a bounty on them. I think it is kill 3 get a native tree to replace them.
Love the idea...but that horse has left the barn here (and the barn door was closed, barn torn down, then a subdivision has been built in it's place...filled with Callery pear in every yard, with a few Honey locust for diversity - the landscape architect won a major award for that design).

They are so widespread in some areas, you could eliminate every planted pear and we'll still never be rid of them.

I’m just curious as hell if it’s something that produces sugary fruit.

I would think anything sweet that may attract bees, wasps, and other insects would be a no go in the middle of an amusement park.
