Ok then we'll go with Broussonetia papyrifera

I think that is a much bigger problem for you down south than it is up here. We have more than out fair share of white mulberry (and i didnt think that looked right but guessed because of the messy fruit hint) but not much Paper. Hopefully that buys @JD3000 and I a little bit of a pass!
 
You got it ATH. There are some unusual invasive here. That one is one of the biggest paper Mulberry's around. Mostly there are understory along waterways. Next time ipost I promise it will be a native.

Sounded vaguely familiar to me. Found it again looking for Mulberry options that weren't our standard pests up here.
 
Here you go. This one is a native species, not some weird foreigner. Actually any of lot of the trees just left and in front of my truck. There are 7 of them in this frame. Take note of the Nittany Lion logo on the truck window.

Trick of light. Also all the trees leaves are likthe one directly in front of the truck, nice and dark green glossy. Lighting is E ending close to sundown.
