Trees from a distance

:mad: Tomorrow I will list every single red oak I know, and then I will use Google and list the ones I missed. And then I will post a picture of a New England Hamburger tree from 2000 feet away, and victory will be mine. I may or may not be a sore loser.
 
I wanna say those are sweet gum balls hanging on it. I can convince myself the silhouette might fit, but I can't make anything else about it fit... But that is my best guess for the stuff hanging at the top. Liquidambar styraciflua
 
No seeds and no fruits. A few shabby looking leaves in spits that held on.

Branching habit on this specimen is pretty unusual for it's age. Normally much more rounded
