Trees from a distance

I've got a couple good ones so I'll get one up.
(Seeing as I got that last one anyway!)

We saw A. pens. in the woods growing up in NE Ohio. Turns out they can only be found in 3 counties in that corner of the state. Striking understory tree and I'll be planting on here this fall.

Someone else can put up a pic.

They are only in 3 counties because they didn't realize they had crossed into Ohio. Once they figured that out they didn't go any further.

On the contrary, they close in tight phalanx the closer they get to happy valley. On the other hand, I have never seen an Ohio buckeye with balls enough to cross the state line on their own.
