Trees from a distance

By the way BRT, that's a nice prune job on that hackberry you posted. I assume that was your work?

I don't know about the ones in VA but here in SC the brush is a nightmare from those things. Tangles on everything. Lots of right angles...
Can't take credit for the pruning on this one, although it is in my backyard. I've taken a few limbs out to accommodate the kid's swing, and the electric company has been working on the other side. It is a nice mature tree.

Haven't seen many of them myself, but I did read that they get quite tangled up--"witches brooms" sort of thing.

You bring up an interesting point, and I've been thinking it would be good to start a thread that included pics of a tree b/f, and after a prune job. Seems like a great educational tool that could be used by all of us. Of course those who post would be sticking their neck in the noose, so to speak. Opening themselves up to criticism; but, that's how you learn. What do you think TL?

I wish I would have taken a picture of this Bradford pear I pruned today. I was right proud of it.

Apologies for the interruption in the id thread.

I think it'd be a great idea. It's crossed my mind before and then I think I got leery of it too... My hide has grown thicker since then though. You go first, BRT :)

I'll have a tree up in a few

No problem Old Q., I will wait to post a pic until Tom gives the go ahead. Where I grew up we had Hibiscus as hedges and fed the flowers to our pet Iguanas.
