you just beat me

I think so,

but to be official we need to hear from Xman.

However, if so, I've never won anything before, seriously.
Not a coin toss, not a dice roll not even a Bingo game!
So as silly as it may all seem...
I've very happy right now

YOU GOT IT DIANE. I was hoping you would be the one, since you were the only one to suggest Quince.

PM me your name and mailing address so I can send the $60.00.

Yes, this is true,

however,
'this recent winner'

does not have a photo of a tree to post right now
so the floor is open...

Oh, then I'm really sorry to have jumped in and posted my tree. Sorry again Waldo.

I was just too eager to post.

This was the first time I came across a Chinese Quince and it took me a few hours to track it down once I saw the tree in person. I was so excited to learn of the new tree I felt the need to post it.

I do think it is way too confusing to have more than one to ID at once.

I'm glad I know the rules now. I didn't come into this game until page 40.

I could post another if you wish, but I'll wait to see if someone else wants a turn first.

There won't be prize money unless I feel it's a REALLY hard one.

Plus my wife probably won't like to hear that I'm giving away money, so I better hold off.

Hi Everyone,
Just acknowledging that I received the $60 Xman promised to pay to the person who could ID his tree.
After receiving the funds I put them towards a planting of native trees in my local area.
So all around this was a fun and positive way to begin a new and hopefully (for every one of us) plentiful year!
Stay well & be safe.

I agree. Trees from a distance is becoming a charitable organization. Who woulda thunk it.

I'm feeling green ash because of the diamonds i see in the bark pattern. Fraxinus pennsylvannica, possibly white ash (americana).

nope.

Now, I'll tell you it's a really easy one, and then you'll name it.

what's in the center?

A chambered pith?

Or I'm I just trying to trick ya?

No lie, it's a common tree here and in PA. Much more common then green ash.
