Nice job! i'm proud of you. I've always wanted to plant one in a landscape. Has anyone tried to plant them?

hey dude you went twice in a row.

I don't know what that is, probably Boston Bull is right, that came to mind and isn't there an Alaskan Cedar or something?

anyway, sorry to butt in. really.

But I want to submit a picture while I can, and I won't have this computer for a while to submit, so I have to put this picture on now, well, kind of.

Anyway, lets step this up a few notches.

And I'm not even going to say if this is hard or easy, but you will be able to figure that out soon.

I'm going to set the prize money for this at $100.00 right now. Every time you decide you need a hint it will go down about 10 or 20 dollars, I decide how much. You can ask me ahead of time how much would it cost to answer "this" question.

I honestly will personally mail you a check for the money you win.

BUT NO CHEATERS. And I won't say how one would cheat, cause that would temp one to do so. Please no cheater ruin this for the other people.

You have to come up with the right name with latin name on your own. Research all you want. Don't worry, there is no special variety or something like that. There is no trick.

Just this one picture, right now anyway.

Incense cedar.

sure does look like Osage Orange friut (Maclura pomifera ) on the ground behind it Xman

So I say
Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera )

forgot the colloquial name {Hedge apple}

Okay, none of them is right yet.

bostonBull, zelkova trunk does resemble the bark on this tree. so i'll give that clue free.

I'm not sure if the others are talking about Waldo's tree or mine.

Mature red cedar does have fluted trunk like this old tree.

Good to eye up the fruit on the ground Hollereich. It's not a trick, fruit does belong to this tree.

$10 off and I'll tell if the fruit is bigger or smaller than osage orange fruit.

$10 off and I'll tell if deciduous or evergreen.

$10 off and I'll tell if it has thorns or no thorns.

You will have payment within 7 days of when I see you picked the right name. 10 guesses per person though. that's plenty.

MattyD knows me a bit, and I'm sure he'll tell ya I'll be one to pay up. Grover is a coward and keeps his identity hidden, I am not.

Let me know if you want these clues. right now, still at $100. If just two people ask for the same clue, I'll post the clue, and subtract the amount.

sorry, this is the first time i've been with a computer since i posted the picture. i will likely be able to get on here once a day for now on though.
