Not osage's cousin either. This tree threw me at first. What I guessed at first glance was way off.

Here's another view which should give it away.

I'm waiting for someone to name the tree I thought of when this one first caught my eye.

Look at the branch structure in the 2nd pic. Knowing the tree I can see the characteristic form. The second picture shows it much better than the first. That's why I said it might be a give away. Then again if I were on your end it might not be as evident. It wasn't at first. I had to walk up and check the leaves and twigs up close.

The trunk looks a little like phellodendron to me, but the branch structure is another story. :-/
