Maybe it's the pinkeye playing tricks on me, but I think I can see little green ball-like fruits. I'll throw out Juglans cinerea.

the leaves look like some kind of oak maybe i cant see it well enough but it is a nice tree whatever it is? the leaves look rounded though

I was hoping someone would get it with the location; Sycamore Maple can take on a kind of scrubby form in coastal areas around here.
