Trees For Bees

Basswood is one of the favorites...

Silver maple is one of the earliest flowers so they are important (but not among my favorite trees....)

Redbud and Crabapple come out early too.

Tuilip-poplar is great source of nectar.

Dont forget perennials too. Nepeta x faassenii 'Walkers Low' reblooms and is constantly visited by bees.

Fabaceae trees are good I believe

Our company lawyer has kept bees fro years...he said ash gave the honey a great flavor...not so sure how that would work out though...
