Is the lite really that hard to put on and adjust without buckles? Is it possible to install aftermarket buckles?

The TM Lite has a superior waist belt fastener, you can easily adjust it in the tree if for example you took a layer off while climbing cool weather and the belt was too loose. Even in the best of circumstances the quick release buckle on the regular TM is a PIA, even when you get the the waist tension right on the ground, the buckle resists closing/locking. If the TM waist padding doesn't give you enough cushion you can always upgrade to the heavier TM waist belt padding.

It's not hard to put on at all. The "difficulty" of stepping into a harness is overrated. You have to anyway on the full TM, unless you flip the leg pads like mentioned in a another recent post.

I wouldn’t say it’s hard, but it’s merely an inconvenience. I’m not sure if it’s possible, that would be interesting avenue to pursue

Nice moss. Maybe I need to try the tm first. I do like the lite, but with the tm being on sale I thought it would be an upgrade, maybe not as I’m seeing

I just bought the evo for the double bridge feature. I will be transferring that feature to my lite for the exact reason Moss mentioned.
