Evening all,

I was recently handed down a treemotion at my new shop super jazzed. I know their are plenty of way to customize and make your own loops with certain cordage and what not and was hoping you guys could chime in with your own set ups and or links to check out. I lack imagination and pilfer ideas from others!! Thank you

Try using the search function on here, look for saddle setups, treemotion, etc. lots of good stuff im a couple of threads.
That being said, this is my setup, minimal on the gear loops, only added two small ones behind the side D's, heavy on the caritools though.

Quite the photo shoot you set up there, Swing.

I'm actually going to be readjusting mine today so I'll take some photos once I do. On that note, take your time getting the adjustments dialed to your liking since it makes a huge difference. Once you're sure you like what you've got, add some tape or one or two stitches to the webbing to keep them from moving.

I buy a new harness. Immediately I cut all the webbing and resew the loops. Hip to lowerDs sweetspot it the most important. I have that dialed years ago. It never changes. I hardly use a TM for longer than 2 years. 3 max. My harness leg loops and waist never change. So do not need all the added webbing. Above, the harness on left is a year and half an Evo my workhorse. On right is a pruning setup 3 year old that I also use for rec climbing or comps though no comps these days. Hate excess webbing. 16133347207685239664826643859224.jpg16133347543744967984243203863277.jpg16133347759014579540847438885872.jpg

Why the biners on leg loops? What will you use them for. Curious.
Don't really use them often anymore, it used to be for storage of the harness, I would clip the leg loops to the gear loops, kept them flat and out of the way, then the harness sat over a rope bag.
I habe the Courant Cross Pro XL now, so my storage is different. And much better. Other uses are just to always have two non lockers with me, although I always forget about them when I need one...
I kind of like routing my tail through one on a spar too, keeps it out of the caritool.

@climbstihl
What’s with the wooden toggles with bungee? Looks like a cool idea! Lanyard retention?

Yep, best lanyard management I've found for me so far. I hate long loops, and three pins keep my 4m lanyard nicely squared away. You can double up a pin for a longer one, I have a 7m lanyard too. The one on the right is from when I had a long adjustable bridge on the TM, to keep that tail out of the way. I have that on my Sequoia too.

I always have biners on my leg too. Easier to find the exact biner you want then reaching around your back digging threw 6 biners to find the 1 your looking for. But i will try cliping my rope into 1 to see if it keeps the rope away from my spurs. That would be nice. I usually have it in my carritool to. Thanks for the tip.

I use to do this on mine. I’d keep my figure 8 on it, but then i figured out I could run my climb line or laynard tail through it while on gaffs. Worked a treat mostly on conifers.
Cool good to know.. ill try it next chance i get. Never would have thought to do that.

That's clever! Zip tie attachment to the harness?
Yep, TM makes that super easy.
I don't want to steal the credit, I got tye idea with the pins from arborixx rope pins, they show that as a use, but I'm not paying 10€ for one aluminum pin with a hole and some bungee. And the 8mm beech dowel is plenty strong for lanyard storage.
