Tree worker beat by crowd

The problem with real people suddenly being thrust into the spotlight. They and their families often don't match the idealized image the public has of a family. Under the glare of the attention they become all to easy a target for however the media wants to spin a story.

Okay . Read enough . Really ? Are you kidding me ? Tree guy , hits kid in ghetto , gets beat up , goes to hospital , perfect.
What is the awakening ? Just so I'm Awake> A " brother " tree person, got jumped as he was going down broke ave and got pulverized by the crowd , off that day . The thought police have probably documented half of the people who responded to this , so why not me too ?
My lesson I learned from this , and I'm sorry if you were raised different than myself , listen up. He should have seen ahead a person was on the walk , being a driver , you have to look ahead . Maybe he was distracted ? just as the boy was ? two people making a mistake at the same time in the same moment , can't be good . Just saying .

Awakenings ? What did we learn
- Don’t hit black kids in Detroit with your truck
- Don’t stay at scene , drive away
- if you do stay at scene , back up , look for aggressors , and speed forward
- stay in truck , lock doors , dial 911 .
- jump in back of truck , start chainsaw , rev it high , than dial 911
- jump out of truck , get what you get !
-learn how to fight as a kid .
- driving down Brokeazz Ave. , hitting a schoolless kid , no good will ever come from that .
Just so you know that’s my PG version, don’t want to upset anyone .
Political an Racial opinions aside , what was your lesson learned from the “Awakening “ ?……….
Hope the guy gets well , tell him that’s why I don’t drive in Chester PA.

Mebbe watch the video clip of the incident posted in the OP. (esp. the part where the kid just suddenly decides to dart in front of the truck.) Just saying.

In addition to numerous smaller critters like squirrels and a couple of raccoons, I've had both a moose and a deer jump in front of a car (moose) and pickup truck (deer) I was driving.
Fortunately for me, they didn't have a posse of buddies gang up and stomp me for terminating their pals.
Oh yeah, and a dog (black lab) going for a walk off-leash by a kid. Truck ran completely over the dog after it decided to commit involuntary suicide. What did I say to the kid: "sorry I killed your dog". Sometimes these things are unavoidable, unless one is gonna drive going 10mph.
Can't imagine the anguish of running into a kid though.

Agree with part of it Riggs:

- jump in back of truck , start chainsaw , rev it high , than dial 911

The chainsaw is a weapon just like a gun or anything else. Careful or you're gonna get chainsaws banned as deadly weapons. For me, they'll both work but I'll stick with the gun. The gun's always with me and starts instantly. The chainsaw usually stays in the tree truck.

Watching the video, the driver's view was blocked by another car, and the kid jumped out at the last second right into his car. How is that possibly the driver's fault?

Assaults are a small portion of our injuries, this shows they do happen and can be devastating. Steve was just a guy going home after a day of tree work, and now his life is changed forever. So what can we take from this, maybe that just because the day is over it's not time to relax. Who knows maybe nothing will ever be learned from this. I just hope that a good guy can someday return to the job he loved.

We learned there was a bunch of males being makes and a female with a pistol shut it down. There would of been an instigator in the mob and without him the group may have behaved like heroes. Just takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole bunch. Ethylene or testosterone.

Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear .

"How is that possibly the driver's fault?" the three words I hate the most are ...Not my fault . let the blame game begin . Denying , lying and not accepting ( which is lying ) or ( denying) are on the cusp of all accidents . So , if you want to blame the kid , valid , but how valid is your argument ? he's a kid . Blame the driver , wtf ? you hit a kid . hit the wrong kid ( missed a few). Not much different from tree accidents or any other one for that matter. Outsiders blame , the people inside know , who is at fault .

LEFT ? Right ? DARK ? WHITE? WRONG ?RIGHT?

Good Night ! ( comp tmrw)

Steve is being released from the hospital this Friday. He can walk by himself and is able to dress himself. How long for full recovery if ever is still unknown, but he is on the right track.
