Tree ID/Okanagan Southern British Columbia *photos*

For the longest time now I have been trying to find the name of this tree with no success, I have even tried local governments and they don't know the name of it either, I took some photos of it today, showing the bark & trunk close up, for texture and color to hopefully make an easier ID, and of the leaves & branch stalks etc.

Here are some photos of the tree:

Hopefully someone knows the full name of this tree, any name, Latin or not... I'll take whatever information about it you have! Hehe

Thanks a bunch, hope to hear from you soon! ;)

Can't see the photos, but if Archdruid is correct in the ID, heed his warning and hazmat the ground. T-o-H is a very invasive species. Find whoever brought it in and ...

Is this near a creek or other type of waterway? Not so sure it is T-o-H for that part of the world now since I can see the pics. I recall an invasive out there that is highly posionous, I'll have to do some research.

I read that Ailanthus is present on the sides of more than 75% of the US interstates.

Here, in Louisville, they grow to 40"dbh and larger, and some people actually treat them like real trees.

I'm all for eradication.

It looks like some one did a little crown raising on that Ailanthus Tom.

My book says that Ailanthus was introduced here in North America in 1784. I didn't realize that it had been plaguing us that long.
