tree cuttin accident caught on film

I like what you did with that vid Daniel. Do you really think he was hoping the root plate would hold it up or was he hoping the lower limb would catch the building? Either way that's one of the dumbest "tree work" videos I've ever seen.

There wasn't much root plate on the back side, steep angle, and lot of weight.. the only thing I can think of is that he had tried to brace the trunk, which can be done.. The camaera does a quick pan down to the root plate.. no failed supports were visible, but they just might not be in shown..

The one question that begs to be asked is... how did that tree get there in the first place??? Looks like he cut it off the roof and landed there... he could have left the brush on and used the plunged vertical snap cut... LOL
 
if you look at 26 & 46 seconds there is some sort of a post with a brass head or something... he may have tried to sue that for a brace.. not much of a brace for all that weight..

Either way he made a bad judgment...
