Transporter on ergovation

Been here a while
anybody using the rock exotica transporter on their ergovation saddle? If so, how did you get it to fit? Grind the sides of the transporter down? It's too wide to fit through the caritool slot on my saddle. Am I missing something here?
 
Just put one on my right side last night. It went over three layers of webbing and hook and loop. I didn't think of it as too much of a problem. I'll recheck it today and see if I missed that that is all only supported by hook and loop.
 
Hi Merle, so you just ignored the caritool slot and stuck the transporter in thru the Velcro then screwed the plate on from the outside? I considered trying that but it was getting late. I'll try it tonight. Thanks.
 
No joy. It's a little too floppy for the 660. It's not on my belt everyday but often enough to make me not like that arrangement. I tried it thru all the layers but then it's too thick. Can't get the plate on and it doesn't leave enough room for the transporter to open properly. I'll keep playing with it, maybe there is still hope.
 
Old thread....but....just picked up a Transporter today for my Ergovation saddle.
I managed to get it through the Caritool webbing with a bit of elbow grease and needle nose pliers. The webbing is totally maxed around my Transporter...really tight fit!...looks like it's going to bust....

anybody doing this with their transporter/ergo combination? Any problems?
Hung my 365 and it felt great...haven't worked with it yet though.

Was climbing the other day, snagged my large Caritool on a branch...the branch won and my saw was luckily caught by my bungee lanyard! DSCN7792.webp DSCN7798.webp Hence going out to buy the transporter today!

PS. No more Caritool on my saddle. Not recommended.
