Ergovation Saddle

Matt yes it is the right size I got the small and it seems to fit well. I am just having a hard time with the adjustments. Thanks for the suggestions on the D-Rings I am going to try and adjust them after each time I climb to see if I can get this dialed in correctly. Thanks again everyone for the help.

Mike how's it working out for you? I have a weaver double D with the but strap and it has been crushing my hips. I guess I'm getting old but I spent 4 straight hrs in a tree a couple days ago and still feel it. So that's got me looking for a new saddle. Was also looking at the B'ham Versatile deluxe saddle, anyone have one of those?

To be honest no matter what I do I can't get the saddle adjusted properly for me. It digs into my hips something awful and I usually can't wait to get it off. I have it up for sale now since it hurts me so bad to wear it.

I always had that trouble until I started wearing my Ergo. Higher up on my waist. Try wearing it up almost above your hips. Its looks goofy, but took care of my hips hurting and makes the harness all that more comfortable.

What climbing system do you use most Mike?
I climb DdRT with a beeline V.T. 4 wrap/3 braid and it's most unusual for me to wear spikes. I think a bosun seat might work wonders in your case, and in mine. That's why I was leaning towards the Ergo before I read your reply, because it incorporates some nice new design aspects and it appears customizable. Anyone else care to weigh in on how a bosun seat might help hip pinch?

yesterday I spent 4 hours straight in the ergo doing a removal..spurs and srt you do notice the difference when you go from lanyard support( the hips area gets the weight )

to the bridge connection ( you instantly feel the legs taking the weight) maybe moving the saddle a little higher as sam suggests will do it. keep that back support at the small of the back..

I climb DdRT with a 3 wrap V.T but I do wear my spikes on all removals. The saddle is the worse when when im on my lanyard. I am going to give this saddle one more shot as everyone I have talked to seems to love it. Also does anyone have the DVD for the saddle? I never got one with mine and would love to watch it and see how to adjust it properly. Thanks guys

I was (am) still having this same problem with mine. Russ at Sherrill suggested that I move the D-rings as far forward as I can. I moved them both ahead and spent a few minutes with it and could feel a difference, don't know if it's gonna help completely, but it's a start.

Thanks for the offer but my local saw shop had an ergo in stock and let me borrow the DVD. I spent a couple hrs yesterday adjusting it so hopefully I can actually climb in it.

Mike... I am glad you got ahold of the DVD. I hope it helps.

I am going to try to order a few copies from Buckingham and include them with the Ergos. I had no idea there even was a DVD until you told me:)

So I went on the buckingham website, and I had No idea that they came out with so many bridge options as well

The dvd was actually quite helpful, they went over how the saddle should be adjusted. If I can't get this saddle to fit right from me I am sure that I will be getting a different saddle from you in the near future. Thanks again for all your help!
