Not from a tree though. I was replacing the tie down straps on the log truck. I'd wind some on and then pull on it to tighten it up to fit more on the spool. I was near the end and really put all my body weight into it. I guess the latch jumped mid pull. I fell backwards full speed landing on the bottom fuel tank step of the chip truck. I landed on my left lower back. Instant pain. I got dizzy, broke out into a cold sweat and got really lite headed. No broken ribs because I can breathe deeply. No blood in my urine and it's not my spine. It's my flank. I'm miserable. Can't stand up straight. I'm totally crooked after the car ride home I could hardly get out of the truck. Got a 60t job tomorrow with the other crew. The other climber is already asking why I'm trying to get out of climbing tomorrow. I've never even met this dude. The beginning of the bruise. This is through thermals, fleece and a winter coat.
