Thats for sure, today I was spot on for the bigger pics, hold up the number to crank in, then cut the hinge if I had too (3 times includes the last big pic)

The winches on that crane were the slowest I have ever seen!

Oh, we showed up at 7:30 with the crane, 830 marks the first pick, I left the job (after the groundies and crane by 20 minutes) at 2:45. Spent right at 7 hours there, under 6 hours working. 78 minutes was spent waiting for the Light and Water to unhook and hook up the power.... yeah they are PITAs, long story behind it.

$280 for the both of them dumped in the burn pile.

So ultimately, YOU have to dispose of it? They just drive it to YOUR "Burn Pile?" Then, it's up to you?

Right, orr I can pay 18 bucks a ton. I can burn it for under 50 cents per ton or (perhaps) mulch it for around 9 dollars a ton, then (perhaps) sell the mulch for 20-40 a ton.

More like a keyboard lashing! I'd given it some thought earlier; in
order to maintain consistency I really should.

:)

The images are individually "well-behaved" (kudos!) but there are an awful
lot of them. I'm happy to have a chance to see 'em but would prefer to
be able to "opt in" to it. Now that they're in my web cache this side
of the modem until they expire in a month it's not that big a deal in
terms of having to twiddle my thumbs.

Aside from the image data size potential problem, embedding external
images in the posts (can) cause(s) grief in two distinct ways. First,
since there's currently no way of using HTML here, there's no way
to provide proper dimensional hints to the browser layout engine
beforehand. So the page comes in anchored to the first new post like it
should, but as the external-source images arrive, they cause the layout
to change, which also usually causes the page to "jump around". Second,
the images, when too wide (as some of these are), cause the text in
all the other posts to get too wide for the screen and there's hardly
anything worse than having to side-scroll the window to read the text. (I
understand I'm in the minority of users who don't habitually expand
their working windows to full-screen [I don't have a clue why anyone
would even want to do that] so some of you may not realize the second
point is even a problem.)

It ain't the end of the world but there really are usability
considerations involved with embedding images in the forum.

If a person just wants to say "hey, look at me!" they should really think
about providing a link to their offsite photo album (Roger Barnett comes
to mind as one good example) or upload the images here as attachments.

I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm actually trying to be generally helpful
to everyone here. Maybe at times my delivery isn't the best but I can
assure you my intentions (almost always) are.

It's good YOU are the only one that complains, otherwise it would be even more tiresome than it already is.

Is the structure of the house completely comprimised or
can it be saved. Those cracks you highlighted would have me second guessing. Great idea with the roll off dumpsters.

I'd sure hate to have to share the road with you when you're driving
a big truck! I'll bet you just drive right over or push off into the
ditch anyone you want just because you can, right?

You say stuff like "where's the love?" but when shown ways to exhibit
it that you've evidently not thought of you lash out.

There's a whole generation of city folk who have never known anything
but megagigaherz computers with high speed connections, and think
that computers are supposed to run Windows and crash all the time and
get infected. Neither do they know (nor seem to care) that there are
long-standing methods and etiquette they quite often ignore. Poor kids
don't know any better and won't listen to advice from those who do.
Sad, isn't it, when the young ones think they're better than those who's
shoulders they're riding on?
