I’ve got a few, that one is a Borntrager 53 ton. I really like it. Small, powerful,,
How did you like that rope? I bought some a couple of months ago but have not tried it out yet. Seemed like a good price and very low stretch.Dead-wooding two firs, first day trying a shiny new rope (Tango StatX 11.5mm).

Fat rope, picks easy and although 100% milked, gets fucking mushy. I own 3 hanks diff colors. Geez. Doubt it will be a fav. Thankfully I have some black KM3max .....and hyperclimb to round things off. Plus some confetti2.Seemed good, but I've got less than an hour on it, so can't say much yet.
Feels a lot like Teufelberger Xstatic which I like, and I was interested in something a little smaller than that (11.5 v 11.7). Also, it was surprisingly cheap, so thought I'd give it a try.
The more I use the Hyperclimb, the more I like it. A fantastic rope that ticks most, if not all, the boxes for me.Fat rope, picks easy and although 100% milked, gets fucking mushy. As cheap as it is, that sounds too good to be true...The more I use the Hyperclimb, the more I like it. A fantastic rope that ticks most, if not all, the boxes for me.
I'm mostly on 11mm htp, I really like it works well with my rrp and camp giant and hh.Just ordered some Screamers. Thanks.
I have recently gotten back on my htp, which I really like a lot with a Hitchhiker. For throw-line set lines, especially, Screamers and super static ropes seem like they can be good friends.
For various reason I find myself taking small tops much more frequently then I did when I was younger. More cautious as i have gotten older. In way less of a hurry and understand that it will get done when it gets done. Also understand that sometimes worrying down a tree can be just as quick, or quicker, than bombing big tops and logs. Lack of consistent ground support...Not a day for tree spurs!
That to held my entire weight on the lanyard.
Smallest top I've ever cut.
Newer climbers would benefit a lot by doing this. My finger is actually touching the trunk.
I'm tied into about another tree, above and left.
This is the regrown top (hemlock, so with a rot pocket) that is about 25' tall, slow growing in the shade of a lot of trees, winding it's way up into a cedar.View attachment 91157

HTP is awful nice on the HH..I'm mostly on 11mm htp, I really like it works well with my rrp and camp giant and hh.
Do you catch and lower for yourself much? For various reason I find myself taking small tops much more frequently then I did when I was younger. More cautious as i have gotten older. Took small 10-12 ft top at around 190 ft because my ground support was less than stellar.

As the quality of my ground support has diminished over the last few years I have found myself running my own ropes more often, and simply breaking trees down in smaller pieces. Makes for a little more work on my end, but they often end up being calmer, less stressful climbs. Go figure?Do you catch and lower for yourself much?
Agree 100%. Very durable. The more I use the Hyperclimb, the more I like it. A fantastic rope that ticks most, if not all, the boxes for me.
