Today....

Just air or are you igniting starting fluid or Aquanet or something?

Maybe dump a couple ounces of baby powder down there for the next trainee! :D

Just air. The compressor, being in an outdoor shed in the PNW is sucking in a lot of moisture as it does it's thing, so that is all just releasing back into the air at once and visible as it was a cold day.

Socially distanced benches! Nice coloring in the grain. Is that an Acer sp.?
Dead scotch pine, bark beetles bring in the blue stain

Going to be a nature play area in the park and the rec coordinator asked for log benches and I had a dead pine and black cherry nearby

I didn't find a new or used equipment listing with a price in a quick search. It appears to be an attachment for a boom truck, so the price will depend a lot on size and off-road capability. I'd guess $25-30K for the handler plus $250-400K for a suitable truck new.

Stuck at home all week due to a combination of unusual cold weather/snow, and the ferry not running which essentially strands me on my home island.

Returned from the city after Christmas to find a tree blocking both sides of my loop-driveway. Other than that mostly just relaxing at home and going on an online shopping spree of needed/wanted tools before the year ends. Also saved a hummingbird from freezing to death....

You all shut down for that little bit of snow? I’m guessing you don’t usually see much in a winter?

Cute little bird, glad you were able to save it! I love to watch hummingbirds, there aren’t many around here though.

Yah, a few days a year at most usually, so the area just isn't really prepared for it. It's very hilly so roads and driveways are a challenge, trees everywhere so lots of shade for ice to build up and not melt, no one has winter or studded tires, or even chains (of course I do). Plus, we can probably count the number of plows on one hand, not to mention that many of the roads are private and not plowed in the first place. I almost slid off a cliff while towing my chipper last winter on a shady, icy curve; after that I just decided work can wait till the roads are 100% clear.
