Beautiful hydrangeasFelled an actively uprooting spruce over drive and kousas we just planted. Guy line at ~60% height tensioned with 3:1, pull line with 4:1, and a wedge on the compression side, super slow and smooth. Spruce plays nicely and hinge held all the way.View attachment 76940View attachment 76941View attachment 76943
Awesome shot
That little Cat looks like fun! I’ve never sailed one of those, they look quick though.Injecting 30-50 ash trees a day for the city. Weekend was much welcomed. View attachment 76945View attachment 76946View attachment 76947
first time out on it, got it for my mom. Super quick little boat and easy to sail. Used to sail them every now and then as a kid. That little Cat looks like fun! I’ve never sailed one of those, they look quick though.
he’s a drahthaar! His longer wirey hair is still filling in. Surprisingly does great at the vet. He loves people.I'm thinking that if your German Shorthair sees that beast you're injecting trees with... he's going to jump ship and disappear over the horizon.

Not the kind of Friday that you look forward too lol
Stump Grinder - Alpine Magnum Stihl - $1,500
This is an older used machine with a Stihl powerhead. It was used a lot in the mid 2000s but has barely been touched in the past 2 years other than starting and running the engine periodically to keep it in shape. I have run Motomix in it the last couple of times and it is stored with Motomix in it. It has sat around in storage for long enough that the housing for the drive belt needs to be taken off and the interior cleaned. The belt gets jammed up in what is likely a mouse nest in there. It's not pretty but the engine is fine and the drive belt & cogs need attention as described. All information about the specs for the powerhead is shown in the photos.

There’s been a couple people on here discuss those, I believe there may be a couple owners around here I just don’t remember who.Interesting craigslist find, anyone ever had the misfortune of running one of these beasts?

At various times I had a Hobie 14, 16, 18 and 20. Loved 'em all. The coolest windsurfing stunt I've ever seen was done by 2 brothers. They got 2 boards sailing dead downwind on opposite tacks right next to each other. One guy got both booms, the other guy went in front of the masts and did a handstand with one hand on each board and one foot touching each mast. Rode that way for about 200 yards! Many fun outings on a Hobie 14 and Hobie 16. I taught my wife (the mild-manned librarian) how to sail the 16 well enough to take it out solo. We were pretty good on our matching Windsurfers, too. Swapping boards while sailing along side-by-side was our coolest stunt.
