TiersonB, I had PM you about a week ago about what was a final cost with shipping, I am interested in getting some details. So either post here or PM me please.

The cost for the RigEm&Roll depends on options. It starts around 11,000 and goes up from there. Options will include power positioning (Electric precision rotator), a rest stand (shown in one of the photos), a raincover, spare batteries, positioning spike variations, and maybe an underbelly hook. With everything it will be around 16,000 or so. The battery technonlogy is very expensive, as well as the remote control and electronics. Not every detail has been worked out, but we're getting close. Anyone interested in purchasing one of these can contact me at bigoletree@juno.com for a contract.

Mark:

You sure do have to switch back to a cable before you can take the wood down. Actually, for this job we switched back and forth a couple of times because it was such a crowded space, and there just wasn't room to do all the limbs first and then switch to the cable (choker) for the wood. It only takes a minute (literally a minute) to change between the two, so it doesn't make too much of a difference. I'll post up my first few jobs after I build the next machine. The next machine I build will be a prototype for testing the new rotate functions and the new battery. (The new battery is a really cool lithium-ion design that will last much longer and operate with greater efficiency!)

I think that grapple is or has put me out of business. I been using my rigging skills the past few weeks to rig sh1t pumps in and out of pump stations. The money is good and not quite the labor intensive day. It's mentally stimulating and fun.

It's a company called controllex. The do all the repairs at pump stations, waste water treatment plants. A lot of the pumps and fitting are quit heavy. They are usually a few floors underground. When they built these facilities they didn't think about how they would ever replace the stuff when the time comes. They pretty much built the buildings around the pumps. These guys have been using either come alongs or chain hoists to bring parts up or down. I thought that was pretty time consuming.

We did a job the other day that was bid to be 3 days, with my style rigging we were out of there in one day and I got paid for two. Sounds like a fair deal to me.
