2 big tulip trees (about 128 ft tall, maybe 32" dbh) next to the house (about 5 feet off side of the house foundation)

7 decent size trees in rear of house; oaks, tulips, and sweetgum.

2 groundmen
1 climber (me)
one 35ton crane on the two tulips.

rear trees all rigged down and chunked down. most 90-100ft tall, thin, like 22" dbh.

14" chipper.

many loads of logs and chips.

2 days to complete I think.

$6300?

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

Alright I'm done, there is about 5 to 7 more jobs I have in mind, but that's enough for now.
Thanks a lot, almost 3am.

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

Okay BostonBS and OldDirtyBastard,

Lets see your big job pictures and with you as the main climber in those pictures.

With Mayer having those huge cranes I'm sure the day gross $ award will go to Mayer or maybe Marquis (if spelled wrong, it's not on purpose). and chip and log amounts too.

I just want to see if you big talkers are the main man that leads the job and you are the one most responsible for that days production.

Also, could you be productive still and keep things moving fast climbing if using a smaller crane? On a lot of your trees with your huge cranes, aren't you doing trees in one, two or three picks? How hard is that? And the congratulations for those big cranes goes to the tree service owner that has been successful enough to be able to purchase those cranes, I've never attacked either of the companies you guys work for, as far as I can tell, they are really good successful companies.

It was an individual person thing. It all started with OldDirty coming out and saying that a climber has no business using a top handled saw with a crane assisted tree removal. Then I felt BostonBull was chiming in from the sideline, so I went after him too.

wow buzy man right there, 2 -3 would of been fine. Seems the others aint got the sack to post up anyways. I'm done with it till I show on the 9th. Then I see what's what.

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

No thanks. I don't have time nor desire to post large tree shots right now. I'm not one to brag in the forums, this thread got out of hand for sure with me in that dept. Children brag, I don't like the tone it sets, and apologize for it.

I can assure you that we do a few 90"+ trees a month, and do more than just that tree in an 8 hour day.

Holly you're coming up the 9th, X you still swinging in to say hi?

I have a LC project that I am managing in a different area, so I most likely wont be in Essex. Dan would love to have you come along with him or the other crane crew anytime you're free.

FWIW I haven't been full time on the crane for 2 years. I do a few jobs a month to fill in when climbers are off. By sheer luck when Chris spent the week with us, I was the climber that week.

Nice pics X, I was looking for your average ho hum weekly diet of chips and logs, not the biggest nastiest trees you've done. Great work either way

As for the what do you do with smaller cranes comment? Dan started with a 23T, then a 38T, then a 40T. All boom trucks. His daily diet with those would shock most other companies, except for the talent in Eastern, MA. Crane work as we know it was born in Stoughton, MA back in 70's and 80's. Look at past TCIA issues. Thats where Oldirty and Supe learned all their tricks as well.

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

you want some pics? go to facebook and check out the page for marquis. i am in almost every action shot on that page.

you want to know what i bring to the table call john or dave at marquis. i welcome you to call. yes i talk chit but i for sure as hell back it up.

i am a little tired right now seeing as how i put a 12hr day in and then got a call for an emergency tree at 830pm. yup. put in another shift putting a split to the floor but still standing over a house and a garage black walnut on the ground in the pitch dark. sweet.

i'll play your game xboy. today before lunch we did 105yd of chips and 1 log truck of pine. after lunch we did another 70yrd or so.

yesterday after lunch we did 33 trees. 31 hemlocks, 1 cherry and 1 maple.

holly. i was trying to let this thread die for obvious reasons that is why i stayed out of it. and btw holly seeing as how you coming up this way you should make a stop with us to see how real crane work is done. but you ain't gonna be working cause you just going to slow us down. bring a notebook seeing as how it'll be a free lesson for you.

Re: Tie into tree,Tie into crane? That is the ques

btw. that spider sling on the sycamore was a complete waste of time xboy. 2 slings wouldve been fine. that and i see you don't know how to balance a limb with one sling. i lol at you.

you want some balance big mouth?
