Glad to help. Simple piece of gear but very versatile and handy in the right spotsThanks Kevin that sounds sensible and obvious and I will get a rigging plate.
Hmm...am now informed of yet another unsatisfactory anodizing finish to the SafeBloc's (THT) most recent batch. Said to not be as good as originally pictured, nor as currently presented in the master catalog. Next shipping forecast, mid-April 2016. I suppose I could grow a tree up through the one I need to take down, big enough so I could haul up a rented chipper, and then gnaw the stem down like an unwanted kindergarten pencil. Oh, right, it would probably have fallen by then. How does this device with no moving parts move me so? Must be gear lust.![]()
Trebuchet,
Our apologies for the delay!! Yes, we did receive a small sample batch to review and while the finish itself felt great, it just didn't look good as you said. We hate to hold something up purely due to aesthetics, but this product has been in development for a long time and we're are committed to getting it absolutely perfect. Believe me, no one wants this product to launch more than us. We're almost there.

Shitttttttty. Noted.I have not been impressed in the least with the AFB. It seems well made, but is not robust enough to negative rig anything substantial or even catch the butt of a large tip-tied piece. After 3 months of occasional use, the cheek plates on mine are bent to the point that the threaded pin no longer aligns with the hole.
Duly noted, maybe more for rinky dink pieces.I have not been impressed in the least with the AFB. Now hearing end of May 2016 will be a good time to check back on the stock status of the "illusive" SafeBloc (THT). Hmm... I'll check with the Little Red Hen and get back to y'all.
Climb and rig safe.

Can't imagine David is settling for anything outside of perfection as well. We appreciate the attention to detail
