One cut at the stump can be ALOT of cutting, but you know that already.

I thought the drop went well, and you put it in the place you wanted it to go. Good for you. However, it is unprofessional and ignorant to downplay the use of proper PPE.

Exactlt wrong... common sense plays to all, from the greenest newbie to Gerry B... Safety standards are set for the least knowledgable... so a 30 year veteran is expected to follow the same rules in saw handling as a greenie..

When something is presented as a teaching tool EVERYTHING needs to be at the highest standard. The best teacher will only be able to impart 10% of the lesson. In order for the student to absorb more the student has to put the effort into study and review. If the teacher is only teaching at, say, 50% the student will loose...in the worst way.
